RE: 2/27/2018 MEETING REMINDER & FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS

TO ALL MEMBERS:

This is just to remind everyone that this months meeting Tuesday, February 27, 2018 will again be held at the Whiting American Legion, Post 80 on Indianapolis Boulevard across from Walgreen's.

Please do not park in the Walgreen's Parking Lot for your vehicle will be towed.

In addition, I am asking everyone to please bring non-perishable items to the meeting for the Whiting Food Pantry collection. It is extremely important as there are many who go hungry especially at this time of the year. Please be generous in your donations. The donations will be delivered to the Whiting Food Pantry by John "Morty" Demkovich, as he has done in the past.

Again, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike Hill

Email from Jillian Stasiak to WRBC Members

Good morning,

I wish to take a moment to inform all the outdoor industry leaders, community partners and non-profit organizations that I have built a relationship with during my employment at Cabela’s over the past 10.5 years, that as of Thursday, February 1, I am no longer an employee at Cabela’s.  The company announced a restructure of positions at the retail stores and unfortunately my position as Retail Marketing Manager, was eliminated along with other management positions.

Through this email I would like to bid a farewell to each one of you---though it is very difficult for me to do as this was somewhat unexpected for me.  I unfortunately was unable to reach out to you directly to finalize any pending events, projects, offsite events, internal events, donations/sponsorship requests, tours, clinics, classes, etc.   If you would like further information on how Cabela’s can support your requests (internal events planned, offsite events, donations, sponsorship, classes, anything..) you will need to reach out to the store directly.

Unfortunately, most of our correspondence was just between you and I, which means that the contacts at Cabela’s will not have any information for you as far as an update—and you will need to reestablish a relationship with the store management team for continued support. I took a few minutes before leaving to give them a very brief cliff note version of what was coming up in hopes to help this transition but I am imagining there are still going to be many lose ends. And for that I do apologize.

There are also many contacts who unfortunately won't receive this as I lost access to them when the change went into effect immediately, so should you cross paths with them, please send my apologizes.

I wanted you to know I sincerely appreciate your partnership with Cabela’s and me personally over all these years.  I was very lucky to have met and worked with some of the most amazing top-notch people in the industry and community.  I do not know where the road will lead me next, yet optimistic that another just as amazing opportunity is in front of me. Please connect with me on facebook, through this e-mail address, and most of you already have my cell 219-616-4852.

Even though I know I have built lasting relationships with many of you and our adventures are far from over, know that I do wish you the best.

I hope to get the opportunity to work with you again sometime in future.

Thanking you,
--
