RE:    FEBRUARY 24, 2026 MONTHLY CLUB MEETING PLACE

Just a reminder that our Tuesday, February 24, 2026 monthly meeting

will be held again at the Whiting American Legion Hall, Post 80 across

from Walgreens on the corner of 2003 Indianapolis Boulevard.  The 

meeting will begin at 6:30 PM.

The Walgreens management has again asked that you please not

park in the Walgreens parking lot, for you will be towed at your own

expense.

RE:   ANNUAL WHITING FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION DRIVE

                    AT FEBRUARY 24, 2026 MEETING

At this meeting, as we have done in years past, we are asking all

members to please be generous and contribute as much as you

can to the Whiting Food Pantry.  They not only need nonperishable

food items but have also requested items such as:  Paper Towels,

Toiletries, Diapers, Wipes, Canned Goods, Cleaning Products, Dish-

Hand & Body Soap, Deodorant, Coffee, Tea, Syrup, Flour, Sugar,

Pasta, Dry Beans, Spaghetti Sauce, Oatmeal, Toothpaste, etc.  We

will also be collecting monetary donations.  There are many families

who depend on organizations like this.  Please be as generous as

you possibly can.

RE:    WRBC DUES & WHITING PARK PARKING STICKER 2026

For those who did not make the Election Dinner, we will again be

collecting your dues at the February meeting.  Once you have paid

your dues, you will be eligible to receive your Whiting Park Parking

Sticker from Adi Cruz, the Whiting Park Superintendent. You will

need to show Adi your 2026 WRBC Membership Card. Please let

Adi know if you would like to purchase a second sticker.

Adi is located at the new office for the Whiting Park Department

behind Whihala Beach at 1561 Park Road, Whiting, IN.

Public hours are generally 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

RE:    TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2026 MEETING LOCATION

Our Tuesday, March 31st monthly meeting, weather permitting, will

be held back at the Boat Club building in Whiting Park.

COMMODORES UPDATE: SUBJECT: ANNUAL ELECTION DINNER - SUPERBOWL PARTY - COLLECTION FOR FOOD PANTRY AT MEETING

RE:    1-27-2026 ANNUAL ELECTION DINNER

I would like to welcome everyone to another New Year at the WRBC.

This is a reminder for everyone that our Annual Election Dinner will

be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. It will be held at the Whiting

American Legion, Post 80, 121st Street & Indianapolis Blvd., across

from the Walgreens parking lot on the corner.  Cocktails will be at

6:00 PM, and as a reminder, it will be a cash bar.  Dinner will be

served at 6:30 PM, and the meeting will follow.

Please do not park in the Walgreens parking lot, for they will tow

your car at your expense.

American Legion, Post 80 has generously offered to not charge us

anymore for our hall rental. Thank you to the Legion for this offer.

Everyone should have received a letter in the mail about the

Election Dinner and the times.  If you can, it would be greatly

appreciated to respond with the enclosed form in the letter as

to if you are going to attend.  You can mail these responses to

the Whiting-Robertsdale Boat Club, P. O. Box 749,

Whiting, IN 46394 or call Bob Mehok directly at 219-644-9454.

This is important so that we know an approximate number on

how much food to order.

Also, if you can, please bring a dessert.

In addition, Adi Cruz from the City of Whiting again this year

will attend the Election Dinner to pass out parking stickers to

members after you pay your club dues.

RE:   2-8-2026 SUPERBOWL PARTY

This year the Superbowl Party will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026

at the WRBC building in Whiting Park.  It will start at 3PM.

A few volunteers would be needed to help set up.

As in the past, there will be food & snacks provided.

Drinks are on you.

Desserts and snacks that you could provide would be appreciated.

There will be squares available at $5 per square.

Anyone who hasn't paid for this event, the price will be $10 at

the door. That will include food, snacks & one free square.

As in the past, this party has proved to be a big success and a

lot of fun for everyone.

RE:  2-24-2026 COLLECTION FOR FOOD PANTRY AT MEETING

This is just a reminder that as in the past, we will be collecting food

at the Feb. 24, 2026 meeting for the Whiting-Robertsdale food pantry.

I will have a list of items that have been requested from the pantry.

They need more than non-perishable food items and as always

monetary donations are appreciated. Please be as generous as

you can.
