RE: DOCK PARTY 9-7-2024
Just a reminder that next Saturday, September 7, 2024 we will be holding our annual Dock Party. If you haven't yet sent in your Dock Party attendance slips, please do that as soon as possible, so that we can adjust our food order accordingly.
You can mail the attendance slip to WRBC P. O. Box 749, Whiting, IN 46394 OR you can call Bob Mehok at (219-644-9454), or Myself at (219-937-2211) to reserve yourself and any guests attending.
In addition, make sure you get your raffle tickets in. You can also bring them the day of the Dock Party so your chances don't get wasted.
Also, I am asking for 4-5 volunteers to show up at the boat club building at 11AM to help set up tables, chairs, move picnic tables & clean corn on cob, etc. Thank you in advance for any help.
Just a reminder, as in the past, we are asking you to contribute salads or desserts.

RE: PARK & BEACH CLEAN-UP
As we do every year, this is our 2nd Park and Beach Clean-Up that will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 starting at 10AM. Surfer, Steve Arnam, will again be running and coordinating this event.
Please meet at the boat club building where Steve will have a tent set up. You can sign in and get a bucket or garbage bag to collect debris.
Let's have a good turn out, as we have every year in the past.

RE: KIDS FISHING DAY
Our Annual Kids Fishing Day this year will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 again at the Hammond Marina. The event starts at 9AM til 12 Noon. To make this event a success, we need a lot of volunteers.
Jim Madison will be running this event for this year. He is asking for 4 to 5 volunteers to be at the Hammond Marina at 8AM to help him set up his tent, prizes, signs, etc.
Also, we will need a lot more than 4 to 5 volunteers. So please, if you have an opportunity to help, even if it is only for a couple of hours, we need you.
As in the past, food and drinks will be provided and prizes for every child.
Come out and help the future fishermen of America learn how to fish.

COMMODORES UPDATE: WHITING 4TH OF JULY PARADE 2024 AND BOAT CLUB BUILDING & GROUNDS CLEAN-UP
RE: WHITING 4TH OF JULY PARADE
As we have done in the past, any member interested in putting their boat or jet ski in the Whiting 4th of July Parade this year is encouraged to do so.
We have banners that you can use to help decorate.
You will need a permit. You will also need to buy some throw-able candies for the kids in the crowds. The boat club will reimburse you for any out-of-pocket costs including the permit.

RE: BOAT CLUB BUILDING CLEAN-UP
We will be conducting our annual building and grounds clean-up on Saturday, June 22, 2024, starting at 11AM. As you know, we do this every year to keep our club pristine.
We will definitely need quite a few volunteers to help get this done.
Even if you can only come for a short time, please pitch in and help us keep our building and grounds clean.
Food will be provided.
Hope to see a bunch of you on Saturday for the clean-up.

RE: CHANGE TO CLUBS MEETING TIME
On our last meeting on February 27, 2024, it was purposed to change our meeting start time from 7PM to now 6:30PM. This proposal was put to a vote as by our By-Laws and the results were a majority vote to accept the proposal of a 6:30PM meeting start time.
Effective immediately our new start time for our monthly meetings will be held at 6:30PM.
Please make note of this.

RE: MARCH MEETING HELD AT CLUB BUILDING
March meeting on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 will be held at our boat club building weather permitting at 6:30PM.
If there is extreme weather, we will again meet at American Legion, Post 80 in Whiting.

RE: 2-27-2024 MONTHLY CLUB MEETING & PARKING
Just a reminder that our Tuesday, February 27, 2004 monthly
meeting will be held again at the Whiting American Legion Hall,
Post 80 across from Walgreens on the corner at 2003 Indianapolis
Boulevard. The meeting will begin at 7PM.
The Walgreens management has again asked that you please
not park in the Walgreens parking lot, for you will be towed at
your own expense.

RE: ANNUAL WHITING FOOD PANTRY COLLECTION DRIVE
At this meeting, as we have done in years past, we are asking
all members to please be generous and contribute as much
as you can to the Whiting Food Pantry. They not only need
nonperishable food items but have also requested items such
as: Paper Towels, Toiletries, Diapers, Wipes, etc. We will also
be collecting monetary donations. There are many families who
depend on organizations like this. Please be as generous as
you possibly can.

RE: SUPER BOWL PARTY TURNOUT
Again, this year we had our annual Super Bowl Party. As in the
past, this was a very successful turn out for our club.

RE: WRBC CLUB DUES &
WHITING PARK PARKING STICKERS 2024
For those of you who did not make the Election Dinner, we will
again be collecting your dues at the February meeting. Once
you have paid your dues, you will be eligible to receive your
Whiting Park Parking Sticker. You will have to go see
Adi Cruz at the Whihala Beach City Park Office to obtain your
2024 Whiting Park Parking Sticker by showing your 2024 WRBC
Membership Card.
